Top 5 in Cork, Ireland
The whole purpose of our trip to Ireland was to celebrate our dear friend’s 41st birthday. This gem of a city did not disappoint. So sit back, relax, drink a nice glass of red wine and enjoy Cork.
Hayfield Manor House
This manor house turned hotel was such a unique hidden find. It was my favorite place in all of Ireland. Although we did not stay at this hotel, we attended a party there and a detail was not missed. From its stunning facade, amazing food, to attentive staff, I will be thinking of this place and experience for a long time. I’ll let the pictures tell the story…
The Spitjack Restaurant
This was my favorite meal on the entire trip. The location was unique and the food and wine were perfect. This would be a great spot for a date night or fancier dinner on your trip.
The English Market
This spot was such a fun surprise in the the middle of the city. It is a market with the cutest restaurant overlooking the shoppers and vendors. We loved walking around, looked at the the interesting food, and then grabbed lunch overlooking the shoppers. Check it out when you are in Cork.
River Lee Bar and Restaurant
We really enjoyed the bar and restaurant at the River Lee Hotel. The hotel is named after the river running right through town, the River Lee. The decor was creative and fresh and the food and drinks were great. They even served us baby Guinness shots, a must have while in Cork.
Cork by Foot
And with any great city, the best way to see it is to walk around and get a feel for the land. We loved hopping in pubs, shops, an cafe’s to see what Cork had to offer.
